Weed & Algae Services:

Invasive Aquatic Plants

Invasive species are aggressive and difficult to control, which is why it's critical to recognize them early and implement a management plan before they take over a system. Small-scale selective treatments can be quickly adopted to control and destroy the invading species if found early. A successful invasive species control program must include monitoring. Regular inspections enable us to detect and eradicate any invasive plants before they spread.

Algae

While a little amount of algae is normal and useful in an aquatic habitat, it may quickly become out of hand if not managed properly. Excess fertilizer loading, low dissolved oxygen levels, or other water quality abnormalities can cause undesirable algal blooms. One of our experts will need to accurately determine the cause of your algae problems and build a specific management strategy.

Toxic Algae

Lakes, ponds, and reservoirs can supply drinking water, irrigation, and room for year-round enjoyment, but harmful algal blooms are typical in these waterbodies, particularly during the summer heat. HABs, such as blue-green algae, can include deadly cyanobacteria, and they're getting increasingly common in our communities year after year.

Invasive algae and aquatic weeds are not only ugly, but depending on the species, they may also pose a threat to aquatic life and people. They may wreak havoc on water quality and harm aquatic ecosystems, as well as obscure a lake's natural beauty. Identification of the target algae and aquatic weeds that are developing in your pond is critical to getting the intended outcomes. You'll get long-lasting effects if you choose the proper product and apply it at the right rates at the right times.
