Since 1993, Smith Creek Fish Farm has been a family-owned and operated, New York State certified fish hatchery, providing pond supplies, live pond fish, and aquatic management services for lakes and ponds of all sizes. Located just an hour from Buffalo or Rochester, NY, our 22-acre facility features nine display ponds, a 20,000 sq. ft. hatchery, a 1,000 sq. ft. greenhouse, and thirty-nine aquaculture ponds.
We offer a wide range of products, including Pond dye, natural water treatments, algae control, Kasco fountains, aerators, and de-icer units. Our selection of fish includes Triploid Grass Carp, Fathead Minnows, Trout, Largemouth Bass, Channel Catfish, as well as Koi, Japanese Trapdoor snails, and pond plants for garden ponds.
In addition to pond supplies and stocking, we provide expert services like fountain and aeration installation, certified chemical treatments, and wetland delineation to support healthy aquatic ecosystems and responsible land management.

I feed lake fish nightly on way back to lake over creek I also feed small fish in a creek hole that happens to be big with many minnows . The 1/8” food works great for them and mix the small and next size up for lake. The fish love it even see some bass in lake eating at times ! Wonderful product . Out of you control but would be great to get shipping cost more reasonable . Let the the fish rate you product and they say **** yes !!!!!
Assuming the fleas are having a great time, since all snails and crawfish were healthy when joining the pond.
All the Japanese Trapdoor Snails arrived large and healthy. They have been in the pond for two weeks now and seem to be thriving. We even noticed what appears to be babies around one of the snails. Hopefully we will see some reduction in algae soon.
Product starting working within the first week sealing my dam. I will continue to monitor how this product works over the summer.
Our initial order of 25 Japanese Trap Door Snails was promptly shipped, but never arrived (presumably lost in the great void that is the postal service.) We called Smith Creek Lake and Pond, who requested we wait another few days, which we agreed to do. Without any further contact from us, Smith Creek sent another shipment, most likely noting that there had been no delivery. The second batch of snails did arrive, in good shape, all passengers appearing to be alive. Excellent product and excellent customer service. Very much appreciated.
This is THE BEST product to clear the pond water, no harm to fish!
They have very fast shipping and easy purchasing options. this was my second purchase and both were very fast.
I received my bag of aluminum sulfate faster than expected. Made a slurry and spread it over my pond. The next day the turbidity was gone. Always keep an eye on your pH levels, as this will make water more acidic.
Fish arrived in perfect condition. The box was well made. Overall I couldn’t be happier.
