Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy explains how Smith Creek Fish Farm processes orders, shipping methods, delivery timelines, freight shipments, and what to do if something goes wrong.

Order Processing

Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays). During peak seasons, processing times may be slightly longer.

Note: Some items (including certain pond equipment, freight items, or special-order products) may require additional handling time. If this applies, we’ll contact you as needed.

Shipping Rates

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location, package size/weight, and selected service.

  • Small parcel shipments: Typically ship via common carriers (e.g., UPS/USPS).
  • Freight shipments: Large/heavy items ship via LTL freight carriers.

Estimated Delivery Times

Delivery estimates are shown at checkout and/or in your order confirmation. Transit times vary by carrier, destination, weather, and seasonal volume.

  • Standard small parcel: Commonly 2–7 business days after shipment.
  • Freight: Commonly 3–10 business days after shipment (appointment may be required).

Important: Delivery estimates are not guarantees. Carrier delays can occur.

Tracking Your Order

When your order ships, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information (when available).

If you can’t find your tracking details, contact us with your order number and we’ll help.

Shipping Addresses & Changes

Please confirm your shipping address before completing checkout. If you need to request an address change, contact us as soon as possible.

  • If the order has not shipped, we may be able to update the address.
  • If the order has shipped, carrier reroutes may not be possible and may incur additional fees.

Damaged, Lost, or Missing Packages

If your package arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Include:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the shipping box (all sides) and any damage
  • Photos of the product and packing materials

If a package appears lost or hasn’t moved in tracking for several days, contact us and we’ll assist with the carrier investigation.

Freight Shipments (LTL)

Freight shipments may require a delivery appointment. Please inspect freight deliveries carefully:

  • Inspect the pallet/box before signing.
  • Note visible damage on the delivery receipt (BOL) before accepting.
  • Take photos immediately and contact us within 48 hours.

Failure to note visible damage at delivery may limit the ability to file a successful freight claim.

Shipping Restrictions

Some items may have shipping limitations due to size, carrier rules, seasonal conditions, or state regulations. If we’re unable to ship an item to your location, we will contact you.
