1HP Rotary Vane Aerator Basic System is the perfect choice to power up to 6 acres of diffused air systems. With a shore-mounted air compressor, oxygen is pumped to a diffuser lying on the pond floor – exactly where most oxygen consumption happens. When these bubbles rise, they create a "boiling" action, circulating oxygen and preventing water stratification throughout the pond. Two factors heavily influence the range of impact an aerator can provide: depth & shape. Pond shapes that stretch long and narrow may need multiple diffusers to ensure all areas are aerated. For the more common shapes like square, circular, and oval, one diffuser should be enough for a pond one acre in size or smaller.
