Since 1993, Smith Creek Fish Farm has been a family-owned and operated, New York State certified fish hatchery, providing pond supplies, live pond fish, and aquatic management services for lakes and ponds of all sizes. Located just an hour from Buffalo or Rochester, NY, our 22-acre facility features nine display ponds, a 20,000 sq. ft. hatchery, a 1,000 sq. ft. greenhouse, and thirty-nine aquaculture ponds.
We offer a wide range of products, including Pond dye, natural water treatments, algae control, Kasco fountains, aerators, and de-icer units. Our selection of fish includes Triploid Grass Carp, Fathead Minnows, Trout, Largemouth Bass, Channel Catfish, as well as Koi, Japanese Trapdoor snails, and pond plants for garden ponds.
In addition to pond supplies and stocking, we provide expert services like fountain and aeration installation, certified chemical treatments, and wetland delineation to support healthy aquatic ecosystems and responsible land management.

This is still the "go-to" medication for eliminating gill flukes & flat worms especially which I use prophylactically, preventive treatment in quarantine before adding new fish to an established tank, or for treatment in general. Though there are suggestions that some bacterias have developed and may counteract prazi, it is still a primary for many for many discus and other aquatic keepers.
Great food.....fish are healthy and growing fast. No issues at all with health. recommend Zeigler feed
Received 12 large Japanese trapdoor snails successfully via post. They are all thriving and eating up the algae in our outdoor pond.
When I originally put in my order on their website they did not ask for my NYS permit. Once I called and asked about delivery I was told I needed to submit my permit with the order. Once submitted the fish were delivered as scheduled. I would order from them again if needed.
Ordered a sample of aluminum sulfate for our pond. Received it quickly and it worked so we will be placing an order soon!
No issues obtaining a permit. And order was delivered as promised.
Adding a little aluminum sulphate directly into the skimmer of my 30.000 gallon pool quickly cleared up my cloudy pool water. Price from Smith Creek was the best I could find and the delivery was super quick.
I made a floating plant island with this filter.
Order arrived quick and all were healthy and fighting over food before I added them.
I purchased a 5 pack, they arrived as scheduled. All were alive, healthy, and big. Then there’s the bonus. I actually received 6 large snails. I assume an extra for possible mortality. Then there’s the best part. I mysteriously have 3 tiny ones appear. I read they would bear fully developed offspring. I assume they arrived carrying young. So I ended up with 9 healthy snails for the money.
